Submission Guidelines

 

Poetry:  Submit 3-5 poems pasted into the body of an e-mail to the editor. We will not open attachments for literary submissions.  No line restrictions, but anything over 70 or 80 lines will not be considered for publication.  To find out what we're looking for, click here.

Fiction/Non-fiction:  Submit fiction pasted into the body of an e-mail to the editor.  We will not open attachments for literary submissions. Flash fiction is preferred, but short stories and book excerpts under 2000 words will be considered.  Non-Fiction must not exceed 1000 words and must be factual.  To find out what we're looking for, click here.

Art:  Submit photographs, drawings, paintings, prints and other artwork to the editor as attachments.  No graphic pornography or violence.  All styles accepted.

Allow 2-4 weeks for response to all types of submissions.  Simultaneous submissions accepted if noted when first received and notified as soon as work is accepted elsewhere. Baker's Dozen Literary Review acquires one-time online publishing rights and keeps links to all back issues.  All rights revert to the author upon publication.
